strange 12 bolt
strange 12 bolt i just recently bought a 12 bolt and it has 4.56's in it and i want the 4.11's. i was curious as to what series carrier i would have to get with this rear-end, a 3 series or 4 series??? if anyone kn ows i would appreciate the info....

Well... if its got 56's in it, I would have to say that it is a four series carrier. But, the only way to make sure is to get the actual part numbers off of the ring gear and do a cross. Other than that, the only other way to be sure is to measure the ring gear flange height.... but it has to be out of the housing to really do that.
Im gonna have to guess that if it came from Strange and it had 56's in it..... that it is a four serise carrier. If you want to drop in a set of 4.10's, it will not require a carrier change..... unless you want to change the differential unit to something other than what you are currently running.
