I've got a 2001 Z28 I bought 7 months ago and I wanted to replace the pinion seal. You can tell that the rear end had been replaced before so theres no telling what year rear end it is, but it does have the 3.42 gears. I went to 4 different parts stores and none of them could give me the right seal. I tried telling them any year from like 84 up to 01 and none of them gave the right pinion seal. The OD of the seal would be right, but the rubber ID would be too small. The diameter of the yoke part that the seal slides on is about 1.7". The rear end is a 10 bolt. Has anyone ran into this problem or know if there were certian year camaros that came with a bigger seal. Thanks!
