Question NEED Help on 93 camaro LT1

My buddy says when he drives his 93 LT1 Auto that the rearend makes a "howling noise" mostly in 2nd gear.

(another problem?)His low oil light also comes off and on but when he checks his fluid level he is full.

More Info dont know if it will help or not:
35000 miles
changed fluid and put in lmt slip additive(dont know the oil weight)
All stock

Anyone know the causes of these things. Thanks

Noises from the rear are very common, and they don't necessary mean that anything is wrong. If it is only in scond gear, I wouldn't worry about it.
The oil light could be a bad sensor or a bad ground. Bob
