Shifting problems 2nd and 5th I have 99 SS M6. I just got a new Star Spec stage 3 clutch and 01-02 Slave cylinder installed. My McCloud Adj master is on the way and will be in next week. I have checked my stops on my ripper shifter and they are correct. I checked the level of fluid in the tranny and it is good. The clutch now has 2,000 miles on it and the chatter is gone. It works perfectly and is smooth. I don't think it is the clutch. I am guessing the synchro's are going out. I was told also that the stock master might not be pushing enough fluid, but I would have a problem in every gear right? When I try to down shift into second, it will not go at all unless I go to third a couple times and then try second. If I am going slow say under 20mph it downshifts to 2nd fine, but anything higher is pretty much impossible. At any speed I can not shift into 5th. The clutch feels like it is engaging but it will not go into gear. When I put into 5th and let the clutch out it pushes it out into nuetral and sometimes grinds a little. Eventually it will go but it takes about 5 min of messing with it so I skip and go into 6th. Does this sound like the sychros? Any help would be appreciated.
