9" axle spline ?
I took apart the old 9" rearend to get the third member out of it. It has 28 spline axles. I'm buying a housing from moser that comes with 35 spline axles ,bearings and everything. Everything but the third member. What do I have to buy to convert the 28 spline third member to accept the 35 splines? Also gonna get a tru trac to go with it.

The 35 spline axles will limit you on what differential you can use. There is only a Detroit locker and a spool offered in 35 spline and you will need a 3.250 bore 9 inch 3rd member. Eaton offers the Truatrac in 31 and 28 spline and you will need a 3.062 bore 3rd member for those units.

You can find a 35 spline spool for a 2.890 and a 3.062 bore case. I run a Dewco spool in my 8 second 3rd gen that has a 3.062 bore Strange N case and it has held up fine but the splines are at the outer edges of the spool. They did that as to add material around the journal so if you run that spool you will need special axles shafts.
