shift kit question

Default shift kit question

i recently bought a trans-go shift kit, but i didn't realize how much installation costed...my question is that is it worth spending $300+ to have it installed, or should i take it back and get some more bolt ons??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

i don't see any aftermarket TC in your sig, so you don't need the shift kit for now.

Even though if you can get it installed for 300, that's not a bad price.

But i was participating in the installation of mine and i must say it wasnt that hard, but you gotta have some tech skills and car work experience, that's for sure.

I agree, you won't need a shift kit unless you have a converter. You won't see a gain with just the shift kit. FYI I paid $305 for a TC swap, shift kit install, and fluid. I don't think just a shift kit should cost you $300 to install.

thats alot of money for just a shift kit install. Did you shop around? I only charge friends of mine $150. Of course i'm not a proffesional <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> . It's not that hard to install, just take your time and follow the WRITTEN instuctions. More af a pain in the *** then hard.

thanx for the input guys...i went ahead and had it installed becuase MTI was able to help me find a shop that would do it for $150...Thanx again
