Bad wheel bearing ?

Bad wheel bearing ? 40-70 the car sounds like the left tire is shaped like an oval, when I turn right hard (loading the left side) the sound intensifies. It is accompanied by a whining at 67-73mph or so as well. I checked the UV's, the diff fluide, and the tranny fluide and all was well there. I belive it to be a wheel bearing. I guess the next question is..what do you guys think and...how much/how hard?

I had my right rear wheel bearing go..i took it to a shop though..150.00$ canadian/120 american at the time...I was getting a "whoo-whoo" sound all the time..just got louder the faster i went.

This sounds like my tire is a granite egg rolling on a countertop and the faster I go the faster it gets until it sounds like a "knocking" it doesnt vibrate and its not that loud, it makes more noise when I load the left tire though (hard right corner) and I do get a whine/howl at around 70. This sound like the left rear wheel bearing?

Well, had the tires balanced...no change at all. The shop that did it rotated them on the car and we could hear a "rolling/grinding" noise from both axles. Apparently they are both bad, the left one just more than the right. Oh well, DAMN but these cars are fragile and high maintenance! This one has spent more time in the shop than the street and its still bone stock and babied. 75K miles on the OEM clutch!
