Limited Slip or Open??

Limited Slip or Open?? my entire rear end needs to be replaced, and i found a really good deal on a rear end with 3.42's with an open diffy. For $300 more, there's a rear end with the same gears but limited slip. Question is, will limited slip make the take-off that MUCH better? I'm using this car as a very fun daily driver, and those $300 can come in very handy right now since Xmas is coming around. i just want to know if limited slip will make the difference between "wow" and "ehh" when i hit the pedal (for fun, not racing, my 99 TA has very high mileage). I'd really appreciate it if someone can give their opinion asap, as i will likely be making the purchase tomorrow (the rear end feels that bad when i'm driving and i'm tired of it) and will be taking to the shop on Wednesday.
