Bleeding the slave?
My new Cartek clutch is grabbing awfully hard and other than a little groan and the high pedal engagement I have no problems with it! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
However, I want to get the clutch to grab lower to the floor and adjusting the MC did not help. I have noticed that it progressively started grabbing higher & higher as it got broken in. Now it's to the point that I push the pedal in 1 or 2" and it's disengaging.......makes me nervous!
So my questions are:
What must I do to fix this problem?
Is the clutch grabbing that high because I swapped the slave for the 2001 & newer unit?
Will bleeding help? If so, what do I do, and what fluid do I use?
Any help is apprecited and sorry about the ton of questions! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

bleeding the clutch would only make it higher since you would be removing any compressing air and replacing it with non compressing fluid.

Just be glad it is shifting/working properly, sometimes its best not to fix what isn't broken.
