I have a 99 Z28 . If I am heavy in the gas, it will red line at 6000 RPM at every shift. Under normal driving it shifts at regular intervals (around 1500 give or take). My question is, is this normal or has someone allready had the <img border="0" alt="[Firebird]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" /> shift points changed? I bought the car used with 16,000 miles. But man do I LOVE the way it will run!

 

The tachs in our cars are lazy, the actual redline of our cars is 6200-6250 i beleive. In my M6 SS, i hit the rev limiter and it shows about 6k when racing... but if you ease it up there, it is accurate.
