Big A$$ Crack Im not sure which category to post this in but anyway, I replaced my factory trans mount tonight with the energy suspension poly mount and found something big time wrong under my car. Im not sure what the part is but its connected to the end of the transmission and also connects to the passenger side Y pipe. The pic will explain it better...
It looks like the part might just unbolt but im not sure. Any info on this would be awesome!

It's not a major deal. It's just the hanger for the y-pipe attachment. You can unbolt it to change it. That's if you really need the extra support for your y-pipe.
It might have gotten tweaked while the tranny was out for the clutch swap or during exhaust work. Then after being straightened,cracked off.

I'm not sure where you can get a stocker. Maybe a local Chevy dealer,one of the sponsors, or try the "parts wanted" forum. You could try a thread asking for a PN as well. Then just order it off gmpartsdirect.
I personally don't think the stocker does much.
People have had success using one of these mufflex hangers. That is if its your y-pipe that's causing your issue. Y-pipe is usually more of a banging than a rattle though. Could be a loose heat shield or your y is vibrating on the tunnel brace.

GM has TOTALLY discontinued this part, so your ONLY hope of finding one is a boneyard, or someone on here selling their stocker which they can no longer use. 
Does anyone have a pic of how and where the Mufflex hanger attaches, and IF there is any welding involved???
