Another gear ? I just recently put a vig2800 in my car. I have only been to the track twice with it. The best I have been able to run in the 1/8 is 8.02 with a 1.76 60'in 90+ degree's. I have nitto's, cutout, lid, HPP3(for shift point and rev limiter only), ory-pipe and the short belt mod. My question is will I be able to get into the 7's with 3.73 gears? My car is a 01 Ws6 vert. I have the gears so I will just have to pay for the install. Is there a better way to get into the 7's for about the same price I would pay for a gear install?

Re: Another gear ? That will get you in the 7s. The only drawback is that with 3.23s you may just make it to the line w/o having to shift to third; with 3.73s you will be shifting.
BTW, You'll be in the 7s once the air temp drops into the 70s. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
