12-bolt question
12-bolt question I'm looking to pick up a rearend, and i've heard plenty of times get a 9 inch if you have an M6 that will see the dragstrip often. But i have the opportunity to pick up a slightly used Moser 12-bolt from my girlfriends brother for $750. It has 3.73's, ABS. He's just upgraded to a 9 inch on his Lt1 camaro, and he's pretty much hooking me up with the price because he knows me.
Will this rearend be doomed to fail with an M6? I mean if i only launch at like 3k or something. For the price, i don't wanna pass it up but i'll have to if its just gonna break. So should i get it or not?

I agree, great price and I'd go for it. My Moser 12 bolt has endured many 4000 rpm dragstrip launches, and it got noisier but that is all that happened to it. Make sure you loc-tite the torque arm bolts when you install the rear, and check them every now and then. Bob
