Default 10bolt fluid replacement (help pronto please)

Ok well I looked through the FAQ sticky and the search won't work, and looked at the manual and it says "4ounces", I know that you put more than 4ounces after you completely drain the rear and fill it up again...

What is the correct ammount of fluid to fill the 10bolt rear up with (after being completely drained)

Mine only took 2. I bought 3 qts and my friend said he only got 1 and most of the 2nd one in it. Stock 01 rear end. Both axles pulled and cover off (obviously) for wheel bearing replacement. I went with 85W-140 RP.

MAKE SURE! to use a GL4/5 oil!

(The GM addative is 4oz, but with a synthetic oil and a Torsen its not needed, I put it in anyways as it wont hurt and the book still calls for it).

Yeah, the friction modifier additive is 4 ounces, the stock pumpkin/axle/diff takes just under 2 quarts of gear oil (like 1.96 qts. ).
