12-bolt u-joint

Will a stock driveshaft from a 12-bolt car directly fit a 10-bolt or will I have to change the ujoint out that mounts to the rear end yoke?

I am doing an upgrade on my LT-1 car. Thanks!

the drive shaft will work fine but the rear x-joint may be too big. i would just buy a stock x-jount incase.

It won't work. The 12-bolt uses a "447" conversion u-joint. You just need a stock one.

What type of car are you getting the driveshaft out of? GM only put 10-bolts in 4th-Gens, so it probably won't be the right length, unless you just mean you're snatching the stock driveshaft out of a 4th gen that has been swapped to a 12-bolt, in which case you should go ahead and put a new stock size U-joint on there anyways.

its out of a 99 T/A...had a 12-bolt put in it and the guy stepped up to 3.5" CF shaft. I have a 10-bolt in mine and was wondering if I needed to replace it and what the best u-joint would be.
