12 bolt, 9 inch, or S60 Sorry in advance for This probably being a repetitive subject, but I couldn't get the search to work..............................
I have a 02 Firehawk with H/C and 150 shot. My car is an A4 with a 3500 stall. It is parked for the remaining of the winter here. I have been going to some of the local tracks and I am about to start spraying off of the line. Obviously the stock rear is not going to take this for long.....................
I am trying to decide between a 12 bolt, 9 inch, or a s60. I think a 12 bolt would be fine for the power I am making right now, but I have been reading various threads about 12 bolt breaking and making bad noise on the road. It looks like I would need to get someone to go through a 12 bolt as soon as I buy it.....................
I want a rear that will be strong enough for a lot of growth in power. I don't know which direction I will go with the car, but I don't want a rear that will be inadequet for future power levels......................That is why I have looked at the S60 and even a 9 Inch........................I talked to Strange Engineering and the person I talked to didn't want to talk to me about anything except the s60. He said that the 12 bolt was just not strong enough to take all of the hell that the LS1 crowd throws out.
I would like to get some opinions between the S60 and the 9inch since it looks like either will take anything I could throw at it.

Brent, i hear good things and bad things about both the nine inch and the Strange 60. We have installed a lot of Moser 9 inch rears, and have not had any problems with them.
