Visual gear identification
Visual gear identification I've got two sets of gears - one set of 4.10s, and one set of 3.42s. Only thing is, they were both in the same box and I don't know which is which 
Is there any way to determine the gear ratio by counting the number of teeth on both the ring and pinion?

Does a set of 4.10 gears have a specific number of teeth on the pinion or gear?
The ratio I keep getting 41 ring/11 pinion and 41 ring/12 pinion comes out to a 3.73 and a 3.42 gear ratio. The set of what I thought were 4.10s evidently...aren't?
