Rearend help!
Does the sound go away if you are in 5th gear at the same speed too? Remember, the rear axle rpm is not effected by your transmission gear.
BTW, Regardless of 60' wheel hop could chip a tooth.

I do have the LM though and that could be why I don't hear it in 1st and 2nd. But at low speeds like 5-10 mph in first you can hear it rattle similar to what I heard when it was on the lift. Yes, Ican hear it in 5th but I can't really hear it in 6th. Thanks for the help guys and keep them coming!
<strong>Pinion bearings will give you a rumble sound and sound bad at low speeds . You did'nt have a pinion seal replaced recently did you? If not pull cover & check r&p gears spider gears, & side gears but I'll lean towards the pinion bearings.</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">If my pinion bearings are bad will I have to replace the pinion too?
