changing backing plates

Im looking into buying a used moser 9" but its set up for an LT1 and mine is a ls1..how hard is the backing plates to change?

on my 12 bolt moser u just press the axle bearings and press rings off, slide the backing plates off and put back on in reverse order. with new bearing and press ring of course.
