Shifter Help???

I have a factory installed Hurst and the shifter stick itself will spin around and it is not just the ****. Any ideas

Not sure if it is the same as my shifter I dont have the factory Hurst but in order to get to it you have to remove the center console and then take off a rubber boot that is screwed to the floor. Should be two bolts holding the shifter rod itself to the shifter mechanism on top of the tranny they could be loose here. Console is not really hard to get out mine is out now with a new clutch just installed.
