Is this a good price for this work?
Is this a good price for this work? People have all been telling me this guy is one of the best 4l60e tranny guys and stuff. His name is Mike and he works at Century Automotive in Richmond Texas. He wants $700 to install a torque converter, tranny cooler, and shift kit. His friend who recommended him to me for the shift kit has his own shop and said it would be $150 for the torque converter and tranny cooler but he couldn't do the shift kit. He also said he had a 422 LS1 come by the other day with a 4L60E done by this guy and it was hittin hard.
Mike said he did some special additions to the shift kit install and he knew exactly everything I was talking about. He suggested the same torque converter I was getting too and he didn't know what was the one I was getting. He really seemed to know his **** about this tranny. He said when doing the shift kit, he takes out the tranny?(maybe he said somthing else?) to install the kit. He installs everything in the kit and a does some other cool stuff to it and checks everything over too.
Almost every LT1-LS1 shop around here has recommended him to me and it sounds like he's really good but our his prices? thanks
