how long for moser 12 to ship
I live in South Florida, and the rear was shipped from Portland, Indiana via Old Dominion Freight. Be warned though the rear end showed up on a pallet in a box the size of a coffin. Total weight with the pallet was 328 lbs. The truck that showed up was an 18 wheeler with no lift gate. The driver and I lugged the sucker off the back of the truck and chucked it in my garage.
I actually just installed the rear today. Its friggin awesome! I have 4.30 gears and its totally quiet! the rear doesn't make a peep. Its like the when the car was totally stock. I know over time it will start to whine, but right now I'm really enjoying the 4.30's and with no whine at all!
Good Luck.

It does come in a coffin. We just took it out of the box and off the pallet, it was much easier that way.
You are going to want to paint it because it'll rust up rather quickly. I had mine powder coated gloss black and it looks sweet!
With my 4.10's I was turning like 2100 rpms. Big wow hehe.
But the best feeling is how tight the rear end is. I was running a 10 bolt that I rebuilt with ratech racing parts, motive 4.10s and a T/A girdle. Yesterday when I opened the cover on my 10 bolt I found I had a tooth missing on the gear. That was with only 20 passes on the built up 10 bolt and I never dropped it off the line more than 3k. The 12 bolt feels solid as hell. and it quiet!

By the way, is there a true 'break' in period? If so how many miles? I put a set of 3.73's in (lasted 500-600 1/4 trips) no brake in (well maybe 30-40 miles).
thanks
