The other prob is,im talkin to him on ebay, and i really wanna bid on it cause the price is right.can anybody give me some kind of references to look for. it still has the Sensor ring on it. another ques, before i panic too much, did they use both series 2 & 3 carriers in the 98-02 models, or just the Ser3's. i appreciate all the info you all can give me, and if u can give it fast id be very grateful. i dont have much time left to bid on it. I believe(belief, not fact) it would be a 3 series as the only 2 series would have been for the automatic with 2.73s' and that was an auburn.

torsens came in 2 and 3 series

http://www.torsen.com/general/general_faq.htm

2 series was for 2.73's and 3.23's

3 series was for 3.42's

you can buy new gears for both series

PM me a pic of it and I may be able to tell you which one it is if it has a reluctor wheel on it
