regearing questions here I'll be regearing from 4.10's to 3.83's soon and have two questions:
1 - The guy who'll do the job is an old timer who has done a lot of Chevy and Ford gears, but never on a 4th generation Camaro. What, if anything, should he know about that will be new for him?
2 - What gears seem to work the best, and what all parts should be ordered?

Re: regearing questions here If he's done lots of chevys, he should have no problem with these. If you want the pinion and carrier bearings changes, get a master install kit. If you want to reuse the old bearings, get a basic install kit. You might want to pick up some gear lube too. I assume you're getting 3.73's. There are a lot of opinions on the different brands. I've had good luck with GM Motives. If money is no object, the # for genuine GM 3.73's is 14091497.
