rear on a "budget"

rear on a "budget" well not really a budget but dont wanna spend 3 grand on a rear either lol
how much would it cost me to convert an old 9" outta like a ford truck or soemthing
BTW, there are two diff shops that have the know how around here, but i figured id ask u guys first

The housing and axles are only $1k shipped so I don't see a need to pull a rear out of a truck and spend a lot of time working on it to make something not half as strong as a moser housing. The center section you can find on ebay for cheaper, but it might be the weak link, but would work until you got more cash saved.
