My lt1 formula broke shifting at WOT into 2nd (m6). Cracked the diff housing all the way around. Then destroyed everything else at the same time.

my car had 92,000 on the clock. 2002 Z28 cam only car M6. The rearend had apparently been rebuilt right before i bought it with a torsen and 3.73s. But it died after MAYBE 10 launches at the track leaving at idle with MT ET Streets. KABOOM!!

It was a stock posi and I installed a set of 4.10s. It was nothing but sheer luck holding that bitch together!!! It didn't die until I put the mickey thompsons on. I knew I was asking for trouble It was just the inside of the torsen differential that let loose. I think the auburn is a better unit personally.

Maybe I just have a magic touch with setting up gears. I also put 3.73s into my boyfriend's supercharged formula M6 that made around 550hp. He beat on it pretty hard and it's still holding strong today even after going to the track and all.

I left pretty hard and it made this AWFUL noise going down the track. By the time I got to the end, it was griniding and hopping and I thought the axle was going to just fall right out

what kind of tire were you running before the MTs? I need to get something a little less sticky if i want my now second 10 bolt to last a little while.

I'm debating between the BFGs or the Nittos. What do you think?

I used street tires. I would 60' in the high 1.80's so I didn't really see the need for a drag radial, until the m/t's. I'd go with BFGs.
