Default P0757 Code (can only use second gear)

Well, after going to lunch today, I got an SES code. After which I could only use second gear, frustrating while on the freeway. I promptly pulled over and ATAPed my car (off the freeway). Come to find out it threw 3-4 P0757 codes. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I wish ATAP had the option of saving/printing the condition of when the MIL appeared, oh well. <img border="0" alt="[fight]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" /> Anyway, what could be causing this? I have recorded, on several other occasions, upto 20 misfires. I am thinking this is contributing to it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> The only other time it did this was when I did the WOT test in second. But after shutting the car off for 10 minutes, it went away (didn't have ATAP then). Any ideas? I hope this is not what is to be expected of high stall converters, especially since I plan on up'ing in a year to a TP4200.

Default Re: P0757 Code (can only use second gear)

I have had my share of those codes. I had MMS tone down the misfire detection under 3000 rpm and have not had a problem since. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
