Help...Cant dissconect Transmission from Engine!

Help...Cant dissconect Transmission from Engine! I am swapping my converter and my trans will not break lose from the pins at the top. How can I get it off there is no where to pry..
Re: Help...Cant dissconect Transmission from Engine! You should be able to pull it off with no prying at all. Stupid question, but are you sure all the top bolts are out?

Re: Help...Cant dissconect Transmission from Engine! Stick a breaker bar between the bellhousing and the motor thru the hole where the starter used to be and shove with your foot. It took me a half hour of shovin to get mine out.

Re: Help...Cant dissconect Transmission from Engine! supporting the motor a little, will take some pressure off, then push the tranny up and down, jiggling it, also side to side, it should pop off-----dipstick tube?????
Re: Help...Cant dissconect Transmission from Engine! Another dumb question(s), Did you take the converter loose from the flywheel? And all the other stuff that connects to the trans like the tq arm mounts and the crossmember? That could be holding you back also. I just used a transmission jack to take the pressure off of the motor and trans and kinda wiggled the tailshaft gently to get mine loose.

Mine was a total pain to get off <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> We put the two lower bell housing bolts in about half way then had to grab the tail shaft and push it back and forth very hard. I would put those two bolts in and yank the hell out of it, thats what I had to do.
