Help with 9" problem...
Help with 9" problem... I just bolted in a 9" and I hooked the emergency brake lines up on each side. My car is a 6spd so I set the emergency brake often. Ok...when I start the car and take the E-brake off, the light on the dash goes off like its supposed to, but then when I put it in gear and start to roll, the brake light comes back on and stays on. This rearend does not have ABS or ASR so I unplugged the ABS sensors and also the big connector that they go to in the rearend tunnel so there wouldnt be any loose wires to tear up. My ABS INOP light is on of course, and the ASR OFF light is on, but the one that gets me is the E-brake light that comes back on when I pull out and stays on, even though the E-brake is down. I am concerned that it may be dragging slightly or that I may have messed something up. In neutral, on a slight grade, the car will roll, but I dont know if its enough, or if its slightly held back. Any thoughts guys? By the way, this is a Moser 9" housing and Axle package, and it came out of a friend of mines camaro. He got it off another one of our friends, but the rear is just a little over a year old.
