Did ls1 Firebird Formulas all come with 3:23gears or was it optional?

I beleive that all automatic equipped ls1 cars got the 3.23's

Yep, my 00 T/A definetly came with 2.73's. I could run over 100mph in second!

i thought formulas were different, I guess not 2:73standard(a4) 3:23s optional

If you have the GU2 option code, then you have the 2.73 gears. GU5 is 3.23...that's it for the automatics. The M6 only had one option code, GU6 which are 3.42s

My 1998 Formula had the 3.42. Yes it was an option that year.
