Default Replacing Studs, question please

I'm replacing the 12m x 1.5 studs that came in my strange 12-bolt with ARP screw in 1/2 -20 RH. I've got my axels out, and looks like I didn't count on having to take the reluctor wheel off. Am I correct in that I need to have the bearings and reluctor wheel pressed off to remove the old studs and then install the new ones? The heads of the stock studs are resting right up on the reluctor wheel. They won't pass by about 2mm. I'll see if I can post a pic of what I'm talking about. Thanks.

I am about to change my 12mm studs to the Strange A1026 1/2" - 3" long studs. Can I just unbolt my axles from the axle tube because I have the c-clip eliminators??
