Rear End Banging

Rear End Banging I have an '02/A4 car with the 3:23 rear end in it.The car has very minor upgrades. My problem is when i launch the car and it hooks up completely, I get a loud banging noise from under the car in the rear u-joint area. Could thisbe the snubber hitting the floorpan? Has anyone else experienced this? My 60 foot times are only 2.03-2.06 range. Any recommendations. Thanx

Re: Rear End Banging What RPM are you launching at? I am no expert but you might want to pick up a rear end girdle that preloads the bearings in the rear, I know it made my 10-bolt last a LITTLE longer.

I only launch at about 1000-1200 RPM's. Anymore than that and it won't hook. Really just enough to get the slack out of the drive train. I hpe to cimb under it this weekend and give it a good going over. Thanks for the reply.
