weak rearend??

weak rearend?? I have heard from some people that ls1's have weak rears,, I have an 02 hawk m6 and would like to put in some 4.10's but its not worth it to me if i will F something up?? please reply thanks,,,

Re: weak rearend?? A lot of eople have bad luck with 4.10s in a 10 bolt. The ring and pinion get a lot weaker with the steeper gear. It's just a basic size issue.
With that said, I love the 4.11 gear in my car. It really woke the car up. I fixed the basic strength issue by adding 2 more bolts to the cover.
If you plan on doing any hard driving or racing on stickey tires I would recommend a 12 bolt.
