Default Going from 9 inch back to stock... have some ?'s

I purchased a stock rearend for my car (I have a 9 inch right now). I have never put a rear in, and was planning to do this over the weekend. I want to make sure I have everything I need before I get started. What all will I need to go back to stock? What kind of rearend fluid does the stock rear use? Thanks in advance.

As long as the 10 bolt has all the stock hardware, you should be fine. You can use some 75-90 or 80-140 gear oil, and then some GM limited slip additive.

BTW, what are you doing with the 9"?

All you have to do is like G2LS1 said, add the fluid bolt back up and send me an e mail with cost for your 9" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
