Default E-Brake With A Ford 9 Inch Help

I have my 9 inch almost put together and have ran into a problem. I left my ebrake backing plates on and now the hardware doesn't fit that I got from moser. Can I just get longer t bolts or do I have to cut the plates off. Also how important are the lock washers? If I use regular washers I am pretty sure the original hardware will fit.

I used red loctite on my t-bolts and dumped the lock washers, Ive heard stories of t-bolts loosening up for whatever reason so Im just going to check them a couple times a year.

Awesome thanks man. That is what I wanted to do with mine but wasn't sure if it would work. How long have you had your rear end in? Have you ran into any problems from keeping your ebrake? Did you use a flat washer?

I put it in about 3 weeks ago..... Install went suprisingly well, weve all heard the horror stories. I didnt use any washers and for some reason the ebrakes wont self adjust. I think Ill just take it to a brake place to have them adjusted. Thats the only thing that didnt work for me.
