Paging Kevin Winstead I am thinking of purchasing a TCI Streetfighter converter for my '98 Camaro.
Can you confirm following:
1/ What would be stall speed NA(free mods, cat-back,lid w/ K&N, HPP+, etc)?
2/Can this converter be used with N2O?
3/What is the shift extension and STR on this converter?

Re: Paging Kevin Winstead I will make a few assumptions based on the common parts shared between the TCI converters and the Vigilante converters. Kevin can give you more specific info. These numbers apply to the PI converters, but since TCI uses very similar internal components, the information given will get you in the ballpark.
#0 pump and 082 stator= Vig 2800, TCI 3000: 3,200 stall, 2.0 STR, 4500 shift extension
#6 pump and 082 stator= Vig 3200, TCI 3500: 3600-3800 stall, 2.17 STR, 4800 shift extension
#7 pump and 082 stator= Vig 3600, TCI 4000: 4200 stall, 2.37 STR, 5100 shift extension
#0 pump and 082 stator= Vig 2800, TCI 3000: 3,200 stall, 2.0 STR, 4500 shift extension

Bigonez28, Patrick is correct on the info for the StreetFighter converter. This would be a great N2O converter as well. The Super StreetFighter would also work well in your car and would be worth another 1-2 tenths.

Re: Paging Kevin Winstead Hey bigone check out my sig, i run that converter in my car and was worth the 450.00.love it, I just did a custom y pipe Slightly modified stock mac ory,with a 3in cat bacjk with a magnaflow muff. Hoping to get 12.40s or maybe 12.30s.On the spray this converter is awesome ,on a 125 shot hitting it about halfway threw first on nittos it ran 11.50s and gained 12mph cant wait to see what itll run now. Someday i hope i can wack this thing out the hole and see what it runs .LOL no traction but really fun. (ps my car still has 273s in the rear)Just boltons only>Oh and by the way this crap converter Well thats what some people say has been in my car for 5 months and about 5000miles of daily driving ,and its been threw 6 bottles of nitrous and still knocks even when warmed up U no piston slap all the time. but until it goes caboom i wont worry about it.
