RAM 910 VDS started chattering... BAD.... need some suggestions.
I have about 500 miles on my new RAM 910 VDS. For the first hundred miles or so, I could slip it just fine. It has progressively started chattering worse and worse.
I believe my tolerance for noise, vibration, clutch chatter, etc. is about as high as it gets, but this thing is chattering so bad that I ain't having no fun anymore in daily driving.
I've made a few hard launches and it grabs really well.... no problems there.
I plan to re-bleed the system ASAP. Could air in the lines cause or aggravate chatter? Could the air in the lines act like an "air spring" that would cause the slave to possibly chatter or bounce against the resistance of the pressure plate spring? Just trying to figure out what's wrong.
Haven't heard hardly anyone complaining about the 910 disk chattering. Hopefully the re-bleed will help.
Any suggestions or ideas?

A couple of ideas. Fist off, excessive chatter could be a sign of:
- Broken or worn engine mounts ot trans mounts
- solid or urethane trans mount
- Misalignment in the bellhousing to the engine (could be as simple as a wire pinched between the two)
- high rear gearing (lower numerically)
- disc bent or running out
Did the transmission slide right back in or were the bolts used to pull it in? This could bend the disc easily.
Did you have to 'rock' the transmission to get it in? Same deal here.
Remember when the clutch is installed and not seated yet, the chatter is lighter, and it is also lighter when the clutch is cooler than when it is warmed up.
If all of this is fine, we should probably take a look at the unit and try to diagnose the problem.
