Rear Swap
Rear Swap I recently picked up a rearend for my car to swap out mine for. I currently have a 2.73 rear with no TCS. I picked up a rear with 3.42's that had TCS. What are the changes that need to be made to make the ABS work right in my car? I noticed the guy took out the sensor on the top of the rear...some sort of sensor i would assume. i don't know if mine has that on it or not...haven't got it out yet.
Anybody familair with this stuff and able to explain some to me?

Re: Rear Swap from my experience from this last week it's not that simple. since it has TCS it is a 4 channel abs, urs (like mine) is a 3 channel. The abs reluctors on urs is in the center section, the rear end u have has the reluctors at each end of the axle. From what what I have found out so far there is no "kit" to convert to 4 channel. If someone knows of one please let me know. If u leave ur abs unpluged ur ABS INOP and BRAKE light will be lit on ur dash, nothing big ur abs won't work in the back.
Re: Rear Swap Really no big deal if my abs doesn't work. I don't drive the car in the winter. i have only seen the abs light come on with the pedal pulsing maybe once since i have owned it!! I can pull the bulbs on the light if need be....not worried about it really. Jsut thought if there was a simple change over...i would do it, to make it right. But, no such luck so far.
