Twisting 30 spline axles
Twisting 30 spline axles Is anyone else twisting 30 spline axles? I just bought a 2000 SS that I was told runs 12.2's on the motor and 11.60's on the nitrous. I pulled a axle yesterday and they are twisted at the splines. they are 30 spline Strange in my 12 bolt. I dont really want to just buy another set and twist them up to. Are moser's any better?
I just talked to strange engineering, I guess my axles are still good. They said to take a straight edge and line up the straight part of the spline and count over at the ends. If it has twisted 3 or more splines they need replaced. Anything less than that is ok. I am only twisted a little over 1 spline.
