On friday night, I was racing my car at the local drag strip. I was able to best my previous time (see sig <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ). After that pass, I ran directly behind two 9-10 second 1st gens. They left beautifull slick patches. I did my burnout on them and launched very hard (~3500) and BAAAMMM! I broke my torsen and lost 3rd and 4th gears. I have a spare torsen, so that's covered. But what could have caused the trans to lose 3rd and 4th gears? It was acting perfectly prior to the breakage. A friend of mine (who is currently working on it) suspects the shift solenoids. He doubts the trans mechanically broke, nor did I lose the clutches. Any input? I think I coul dhave gotten that elusive 1.699 60' I've been hoping for.

While checking my O2's and timing at speed ! (145 mph to be exact )
