Default Will a....

I know there are a lot of Yank lovers here, but they are some $$$.

Will a 3500/1.61 str from midwest, perform the same as an SY3500 which is 3500/1.61 str???

I am under the impression that Yanks prices are based on their quality/reputation and a 3500/1.61str is a 3500/1.61str no matter who you buy it from.

Please tell me I am correct.

If I am correct how similar would a midwest 3400/1.7str be to the SY3500 3500/1.61str.

I really wouldn't mind the extra kick and tightness, I really like the midrange power, but extra kick is nice?

Also would it be ridiculously loud if I were to have a Corsa exhaust with mac midlengths or QTP headers. Either would have Random Tech Cats.

Oh yeah I plan on getting 3.42-3.73 gears at the same time, thats why I like the midwest prices so much.

If it were built to the same diameter using the same blade angle, stator, and tolerances it should. Also yank knows the true STR because it has been tested on a converter dyno and the stall speed has been proven to be right around 3500 in an LS1.

Those are some big ifs and if they can address them to your satisfaction, give it a try, otherwise buy the Yank and enjoy its proven performance.

As to being too loud, it wouldn't be be bad with headers as long as you have cats.
