3.73 i need help
i have 3.73's in my a4 t/a and i had a crappy hypertech so i set the limiter to 6600rpms so my car shifts at 6500 when it shifts at 6500 from 2nd to 3rd it shifts at 70mph isint that low? since its shifting at 6500 and yes my speedo is correct i corrected it and i dont remeber but i think it shifts into od at around 115

if you have the programmer still - start over with your input data
be sure you enter the correct tire diameter and ger ratio numbers.
try adding + 3mph to you 1-2 and 2-3 shift points. Even tho your engine can rev - maybe the shift settings are mis matched and confusing the computer.
I'd put the tune back to stock and drive the car. It should run flat out with just speedo error Then program in ONLY the 3.73 and your tire size. Drive flat out again.
See what part of the programming is affecting your mph at higher rpms

i hope your hypertech doesnt cut out like mine did
I returned the car to stock
retuned it for just the gear/tires.
tried to program it, 50% thru it said some error about not communicating.
It hasnt worked since, and ive been trying it for 2 days, getting 3 different error messages.
at least the car still runs and drives tho. =-|

The programmers are really only good for changes in tire/gears anyway. The mph shift points are ok, but you come so close to the rev limiter. Raising the limiter is a roll of the dice too on a stock motor, with miles on it too.
Don't raise shift firmness either - that puts you trans fluid pressure above where it is designed and forces the shift. Use a bolt in shift kit for firmness AND extended mph between shifts.
I used my programmer at the track to test it and nothing helped but increased 1-2 shift +3 mph.
I put it all back to stock and had my trans built, stall convertor and again - just used the programmer for my tire size and gear raito to keep the speedo accurate.
The sell speedo adaptors for that too so eventually the programmers are alwauys for sale

I don't remember exactly - but my gut says not really.
I'd research what each gear ratio is in the trans - like 3rd is 1:1, then use an rpm calculater like richmondgear.com and plug in your numbers
Perhaps in the trans section or a vendor could tell you the top speed per gear and the ratio in your trans
I think it was like 45 mph in 1st, 75 mph in 2nd, 115 mph in 3rd, 140 mph in 4th
based on about 6000 rpm and 3.73
just guessing tho..
