m-6 transmission problems
m-6 transmission problems I was getting my car ready for a local drag racing show that i had my hart set on since i bought the car and i was just about to order all the bolt ons i needed when on my way to work my car started jumping out off gear and the clutch got really soft my mechanic said that clutch,clutch fork and sincros where bad is there any way these all could be connected and if not does any one know a mechanic that would do this under warrenty in the pittsburgh area

If it is under 3 years old and 36000 miles, take it to the closest dealer and tell them "I don't know what happened, but it's acting funny, can you guys take a look at it and correct the problem". It's not important why or how it broke, so don't tell them. If it's over that....check with D&D performance.

Re: m-6 transmission problems It's not the syncros, but they will have to be replaced. You will also need the complete syncronizer assembly and the shift fork. You should get a steel one from a Viper.

Re: m-6 transmission problems im kicking the idea around of trading the car in for a yukon or something because its just starting to be a pain and all dealers in my area dont like working on them so i dont know what to do give me some input

Re: m-6 transmission problems This is a very common problem with t-56.I wouldnt get rid of the car over that.Use the warranty that you payed for,dealers are required to work on your car per franchise agreement.I did the opposite traded 99 tahoe for 2000 ss,not a suv person I guess.
