Rearend Girdle Help? Please
Rearend Girdle Help? Please I am trying to put a TA girdle on my 98 Z28
and I was wondering if I will need to
remove the sway bar? It looks like I will
to get the bottom 3 bolts in. Is this correct
or do I have the wrong cover. And do I use
the larger washers for the brake brackets
or are they to tall?
Also is there any qurks i need to know
for the install other than not to touch
the gears cuss they will nearly cut your
bloody hand off. I am glad I already have
nerve damage in my hand.

Please you have the right one, use a floor jack to raise your rear end to remove the bolts. the sway bar will move up when you jack up the car. the large washers go on the bolts where the e brake cables run across the axle. i think install university had a write up on installing the girdle

Re: Rearend Girdle Help? Please I installed my TA girlde a couple of months ago. The rear sway didn't get in the way (hey that rhymes!). The panhard bar did though, I would recommend taking out one of the bolts and just slide it down and out of the way. The install is really pretty painless, just make sure that your torque wrench can do 5lb/ft.
