Default Which 12 bolt to get?

I know there's a few out there for f-bodies, but I never did the research on them to find out which would be the best. I hear several opinions out there, but Im not sure which one to go with. Some say Moser, some say Strage, and some say some other brand that I cant remember. Ive had more say about the Strange, is it true that they are the very best as far as f-bodies go? If so, what makes them so much better than the rest? When I get on a site that sells these rears, they have many options to choose, but Im not sure on what any of them mean. I know that I have ABS, but Im not sure exactly which option I need for it. I know that it has 4 wheel disks too, but Im not sure if that matters. However, I know that I dont have TCS, but have the wiring for it and button on the dash cluster or whatever its called. I know that I want a 4.10 gear and I want it to be strong, but could you guys help me out on which one to go with as far as brands go and what options I need to request? By the way, any idea on how long it takes to build one or are they already built and ready to ship? One last thing, is Strange, Moser, etc. just types of brands for various parts or are they names for themselves? What I mean by that is if Strange and Moser build the entire unit and ship them to you or do they just manufacture the parts and certain people or shops build them? Thanks

Get a strange bro, they are a little more expensive but there are many more issues w/ the moser rear ends! If you do have tcs then you need a 4 channel abs setup, if not then 3 channel is what you need. Get the heavy duty posi and 33spline axles and you'll be good to go! Strange and Moser are 2 diff. companies that manufacture their own rear ends, most of the performance shops just give the order to strange/moser and they ship directly to you!

Whats the difference between posi and limited slip? The car currently has limited slip right? What are the advantages and disadvantages of the two of them? I still want it to be streetable, I just need the rear and gear for strength and "out of the hole" purposes when I go to the track. If the 10 bolts were strong, then I would just buy a gear. Can you explain a little on the posi/limited slip issue? Thanks

Posi=both wheels spinning which you have.

Limited slip=1 wheel peels...lol

No problems with my 12 bolt Moser here. Very quiet.

I read post somewhere where 4 people breaking the Strange 12 bolts with 33 spline shafts.

I too read of a few people breaking their Strange rear ends but I bought one anyway because I also heard of a few people breaking their Mosers AND have heard never ending horror story afetr horror story of how Mosers come out of the box whining like a buzz saw or missing this or missing that. If you got a quiet Moser then apparently you are one of the very few lucky ones. NVmySS , do a search on this and you will see.

I have had no trouble with mosers besides a lil gear whine on one car. (installed 4 so far)

I have had some trouble with the stranges mostly concerning the relucter gear on a 3 channel abs system. (installed 3)

I had a ktre and had absolutely no problems with it but they are crooks. If i got one of them it would be through Mark Williams enterprises which is one of the best rearend companies around imo.

Mosers are the most pita's to install
Stranges are the easiest to install.
