Default Moser 9" help powder coating

I just got a moser 9" and i sent it out to get powder coated. i was thinking if it was the right thing to do. How do the backing plates go on? Do i have to take off some of the powder coat? Anything else you guy can think of?

You should not have to take any of the power coating off. Bob

since i was losing abs, i got a set of 3 channel backing plates (with no sensors in them) and just bolted them on like regular and had the whole unit coated. Came out nicely.
