Help selecting gears!
Help selecting gears! I'm sure this question has been asked many times before but I'm new here and not sure what to do. I have an '01 WS-6 (M6) and I want to get lower gears, I'm considering 4.10's but although this is not my every day driver it does see alot of highway use and I'm not sure if that will be a problem, and are there any other problems I might run into? Also I have some basic boltons and run 13.0 on street tires, what kind of gains if any should I see in the 1/4?

Re: Help selecting gears! with 4.10s your highway revs will be about 2000 rpm at 75mph (not exact but close for planning purposes). traction will be tough in 1st gear but you'll be less likely to bog.
