what to do????

what to do???? I got the choice of either installing 3.42s myself or paying $400 to have my performance shop to install them. Which should i do?? i dont think i have the tool to measure the backlash and neither does my uncle so i would have to buy that, and not having much experience in this department I dont know how long it would take and being my daily driver cant really have alot of down time, but on the other hand it would save me almost $200 bucks. The guy at the performance shop said he would do everything for $400 and that includes everything, even a master install kit. Im thinkin I should just wait and do that instead of buying used 3.42s and just a master install kit and installing it myself with my uncle, which do you guys think would be the better alternative????
If you don't REALLY know what you are doing, and your car is a daily driver, I would let the shop do it. Setting up gears can be complicated, specifically your first few times. It could take you alot of time the first time, and if you don't do it right, you will end up doing them again, or you could break something. Possible down time and new parts are hard to live with on a DD.
