Default Is a 96 camaro steel driveshaft stronger than the ls1 aluminum one?

Just curious have to get a really strong driveshaft when get a new rear end but just might be driving my car for another couple weeks to break in engine and new turbo setup. Will be super mellow anyway of course. But was curious. Is the ls1 aluminum stronger than my 96 z steel vibeshaft?I switched them out awhile back when my 99 was in garage for a few years sleeping.

The 96z is defintely much smooth with the ls1 driveshaft but now curious on strength.

not too sure about the 96 shaft but aluminum driveshafts are pretty much a crap shoot. i've seen totally stock f bodys destroy the aluminum ones and others like mine have held up really well. (1.46 60 ft)either way i'd upgrade it. but just cruisin around i'd say you're ok till ya get your new one
