Default TH200R Conversion questions

I know Yank makes a TH200R conversion they call the 4L70R but I can build transmissions myself.I was wondering if anyone has installed a TH200R in a 98 and up Camaro or Firebird.I think I can do it cheaper than the almost $4k for the Yank kit. Thanks in advance.

I have installed one on my car and my friend's car.
I believe Chris ARE 360 has as well.
If you can do the internals in the tranny, all you would need is the adapter plate and Crossmember that Yank sells.
The only thing I'm not sure on is the shaft, Yank uses a billet 4L60 shaft so there converters bolt right up to the flywheel.
The only thing I would check in regards to this would be the need for a spacer on a non 4L60 converter in case there was too much distance beteween the flexplate and converter.
I would also think about a hardened drum to handle power and TB launches.
Good Luck.

Yank's trannies come with a speed sensor welded on the tailshaft.
